I recently set up some ‘bug hotels’ in my garden. Small, simple affairs. I’ve watched them with interest and we now have a few residents. Solitary bees and stone flies mainly. I couldn’t believe how quickly the predators set up outside around the edge of the bughouse. Garden spiders and Harvestmen. Natural hunters, well placed and concealed to just take what’s needed, when they need it. Nature can teach us a lot, wouldn’t you agree? Every creature has a home it needs to return to. The wise hunter knows this.
